Insteon came to us with a vision to reinvent their brand—not just as a smart home tech company, but as a people-first ecosystem built around real life. The challenge was to strip away the complexity that often comes with connected products and instead build something that felt warm, intuitive, and genuinely helpful—tech that doesn’t just feel smart, but acts smart by being in service of the people using it.
As design director on the rebrand, I touched nearly every part of the creative process—from defining the visual identity to building out a flexible design system across typography, color, 3D, photography, and beyond. The goal was to create a brand that felt both sophisticated and approachable, grounded in the idea that technology should adapt to your life—not the other way around. What we delivered was a fresh, human-centered brand expression that helped reposition Insteon for the next generation of home living.
